If you’ve traveled on Elverta Road near Highway 99 in the past year, you noticed a lot of road construction activity and a new interchange overpass being built. In order to expedite completion of the State Route 99 @ Elverta Road Interchange Project, Elverta Road is now closed from Highway 99 to East Levee Road until mid-October 2013. West Elverta Road from Highway 99 to Metro Air Parkway has been closed since August 2012.
The closures affect eastbound and westbound traffic, including motor vehicles and bicycles, on Elverta Road from Metro Air Parkway to East Levee Road. The project includes a new interchange with ramp meters and high-occupancy vehicle bypass lanes on all freeway onramps, widening and reconstruction of approximately one mile of Elverta Road, addition of bicycle lanes and sidewalks, relocation of existing drainage canals, two new traffic signals, and drought tolerant landscaping.
We understand the inconvenience to commuters, residents, businesses and bicyclists, and appreciate your patience during the temporary closure. For more information, visit the project website or contact Scott Werth at 916.874.5259 or werths@saccounty.net.
