On Saturday, October 18, I joined about 80 county employees and volunteers to help residents of the South Oak Park/Fruitridge Pocket neighborhood properly dispose of their unwanted household junk, e-waste and recyclables. Thanks to the hard working men and women of Sacramento County’s Code Enforcement, Waste Management & Recycling, Probation and Sheriff’s Departments, we collected approximately 70 tons of material
residents would have had to otherwise haul to local transfer stations or landfills. Today’s effort helps us manage illegal dumping activity and is a proven convenience for our constituents.
