Solar companies brings jobs to Sacramento County

On February 9, 2017 I joined representatives from McClellan Business Park, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GO BIZ), Sacramento County Economic Development, and the Greater Sacramento Economic Council to announce the arrival of Sunergy America LLC (CSUN), the newest job-producing tenant at the park.

CSUN, a subsidiary of China Sunergy Co., Ltd., is recognized as a global leader in the manufacture of high performance solar energy modules that facilitate reliable green power generation.  Their presence means 200 new permanent jobs for our county and region. As I mentioned in my remarks, their decision to expand in Sacramento County widens the prospects for even more economic growth is the sustainable energy sector which, as a member of the California Air Resources Board, makes me all that more proud of the team effort that went into today’s announcement.
