On Saturday, April 10 and Sunday April 11, from Midnight to 4 a.m., the Sacramento County Department of Transportation, Caltrans and CHP will conduct closures of northbound I-5 and Hwy. 99 at the Del Paso Road exit (Exit 525A. Both nights construction crews will detour traffic off northbound I-5. The northbound on ramp to I-5 at Del Paso Road will also be closed. These closures are part of the I-5 at the Metro Air Parkway interchange construction project.
During this time, northbound I-5 traffic will exit at Del Paso Road (Exit 525A). Drivers will continue on Del Paso Road, turning north onto Commerce Way, then west on West Elkhorn Boulevard, heading back onto southbound Hwy. 99 to the I-5 interchange.
The expected completion of the $17.9 million project will occur in the summer of 2021.
