Sacramento, CA – On January 30, 2013, California Governor Edmund G. Brown appointed Sacramento County Supervisor Phillip Serna to the California Air Resources Board. The appointment was made possible by the recent passage of AB 146 (Dickinson) that increased the membership of the Air Resources Board (ARB) from 11 to 12 and requires the additional member to be a board member from specified air districts in the Sacramento region (Sacramento, Placer, Yolo-Solano, Feather River, or El Dorado air district).
“This is an exciting time to have the opportunity to serve on the California Air Resources Board with so much focus on implementing important legislative initiatives like SB 375.”, said Serna. “My sincerest thanks to Governor Brown for placing his confidence in me.”
