Transportation Projects (in progress)
The July 2021 District 1 Project Master List (PML) provides the latest status information for SACDOT related transportation improvement projects in District I unincorporated area. The PML includes information concerning: project description, contacts, scheduled startup and completion dates, contract amounts and contractors. See the countywide Transportation PML.
Natomas Basin Master Plans (in progress)
Efforts for the Grand Park Specific Plan (formerly the Natomas North Precinct, Natomas Vision Plan and Natomas Joint Vision effort) began in the 1990’s with an urban services boundary special study that ultimately resulted in the 2002 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Sacramento and the County. This resulted in collaborative work on an open space strategy, a Broad Visioning process, and technical studies to assist in preparing a conservation strategy.
The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on February 26, 2019 to initiate the master planning process for the Upper Westside Specific Plan, located in the unincorporated Sacramento County portion of the Natomas Basin. Read more in SacCounty News.
