On Tuesday, April 7, 2015, the Outstanding Volunteers of 2014 were recognized by the Board of Supervisors with a resolution for their service to Sacramento County. In all, 403,700 hours were donated by over 3,000 volunteers who generously gave their time and expertise to support County services and programs. My colleagues and I were presented with a ceremonial check for $10.6 million representing the monetary value of the volunteers’ contributions. Thank you!
