The Sacramento Transportation Authority (STA) is seeking active or retired managers of large development or construction projects to apply for an opening on the Measure A Independent Taxpayer Oversight Committee. Applications are due by Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.
The Oversight Committee was created in 2004 when Sacramento County voters overwhelmingly approved Measure A, a 30-year extension of the half-cent sales-tax program that under STA management is delivering road, transit, maintenance and other transportation improvements throughout the County. The current opening is for an active or retired manager of major public or private development or construction projects who understands the complexity, costs and implementation issues involved in building large-scale infrastructure improvements.
